Volunteers Needed!

Catholic Restorative Justice Ministries is now seeking volunteers for some key assignments -

Get on the Bus

Volunteers are needed now for a variety of assignments as we prepare to re-unite children with their parents with visits on Mother's Day and Father's Day this year.  Time commitments vary upon assignment, and the program will be completed with the event in May.   For more information, contact us.

Pelican Bay VOEG Faclitator

Facilitators are needed for Victim Offender Education Groups at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City.  This program requires dedication!  Facilitators must be cleared for admission to the prison and must successfully complete a week-long training program in San Rafael.  Groups are held weekly and last 52 - 104 weeks. If you believe you are the right person to make this committment please contact us for additional information.

Sonoma Main Detention 1-2-1 Education

The  Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility is looking for Educators who are willing to engage in one-to-one, coversational learning within the jail setting.  Volunteers will be expected to prepare for a one-hour discussion on the topic of their choice each week in a subject that they choose.  Participants will volunteer for instruction and will choose from a list of available subjects.  About three hours per week would be required, including the conversation, processing in and out of the jail, and preparation for the session.  Participants must be approved by the facility.  A minimum six-month commitment is required.  For more information, contact us.

Unsure What's Best for You?

There are far too many opportunities for volunteering than we can list here.  If you feel called to ministry, but uncertain about which assignment would be best, we would be glad to meet with you to help you discern the best use of your time and talents.  To schedule an appointment for an interview, or for more information, contact us.
